It started by me enrolling into skiing school and getting my gears dressed up. I was all set and ready to ski. As I whore my ski shoe I realized it was difficult to walk and had to manoeuvre my movements. A guided instructor called me seeing a trainee tag on my chest and got introduced. My name got christened as “NA VI” favourable enough to be called by my instructor.
I started my tutor and my first step on the snow with ski boards landed straight head on banging my batch mate. It is tough to get up with you ski boards on once you fall. Got up all SET again, I started to ski. I was able to slide a couple of distance and learn to brake by this time. It continued for hours, with couple of more dashing and slipping to the ground; by lunch time I was hungry enough to grab a burger and a hot chocolate. With comfortable energy intake and having learnt and experienced bit of skiing I was in full enthusiasm to start my second session. After lunch I was asked to slide on higher elevation, this became difficult to me as the skill of breaking needed more practice. Being tired, I was unable to spread my legs to brake and eventually falling to ground many times. I ended the session feeling down to have not got the skill to ski but proud to have experienced new learning for the New Year. Literally being tired I removed my ski boards and shoe experiencing joy of relief.
It was late noon; sun was down with blue sky and white clouds. I hasten to get my camera out of car and began to shoot. I tried my hands with silhouette, panning and landscape shots by the time I heard my manager who had accompanied me to take his shots of skiing. Capturing him in my frame along with few others we ended our skiing experience by late evening and headed towards car to drive back home, planning for my next trip for skiing. We drove the entire night to reach Dallas and reached home early morning by 4:00 AM feeling happy to have accomplished a new task and starting a new beginning in the New Year.
